Grandmother Marta
Each year on March 1, we give away to friends martenitsas / as a gift/. Them "make" grandmother Marta. We give away martenitsas for health and happiness.
This is a space to share outcomes from an eTwinning project between several schools in Europe. Our pupils are from 6 to 12 years old and our team intend to share songs that children sing in their childhood, songs that all of us learn from our parents and grandparents and also in schools and much more...

Thank you very much, Svetle! The song about beautiful martenitsas is fantastic. And your children sing it very well. Well, the next week, on 1st March we will celebrate Grandmother Marta. It is a Bulgarian tradition, a special ritual with martenitsas and we are going to prepare a project,too.

Dear Reny, my English is not very good. You know many legends and always tell them interesting. I'll be very grateful if you tell the partners something very short of grandma Marta. I think only in Bulgaria we have such a custom. Friendly greeting : Svetla
