This is a space to share outcomes from an eTwinning project between several schools in Europe. Our pupils are from 6 to 12 years old and our team intend to share songs that children sing in their childhood, songs that all of us learn from our parents and grandparents and also in schools and much more...

Christmas wishes from SP 25 Lublin
Glenn Miller and his songs
I chose two songs: "People like you and me" and "Don't sit under the apple tree".
You can listen to them with your pupils and remember the time of "swing". You can dance and enjoy of it on Christmas Day!
Greetings from Bulgaria, Reny
Don't sit under the apple tree with anyone else but me
Anyone else but me, anyone else but me
No! No! No!
Don't sit under the apple tree with anyone else but me
Till I come marchin' home...
You've heard of "Roses Are Red,
Violets Are Blue",
That's corny poetry!
Maybe corn is just the thing for
People like you and me!...

Wealth
People have been talking about me for a long time,
that I always haven't got a dime,
but I' m prepared to argue with just anyone,
whether it's the most important thing in the world.
I live on the very last floor
in a mansard, right under the stars
the window is my door,
and I walk towards them and ask them
Whether,in time,here,under the stars,
the same old window will still be lit,
will people still be listening to ''Beatles''
and will they be reading the eternal poets?
Will the landlady come by early,
with a muffin and a cup of coffee
and instead of asking about the rent
she will smile-''Did you sleep all right?''
And will it sound incredible again
to someone,if a certain person claims
that he has the greatest wealth-
a window and the countless stars!
"Jingle Bells" into Bulgarian...
My pupils like it a lot because it's funny and easy. You can find out versions from your countries and share them on the blog. It will be interesting to learn more about it.
Many hugs and kisses, Reny
Many thanks, Valy!
Kind regards, Reny

Shine little star, shine
1.Take me straight to Betlejem
Take me where the God was born
Take me I can't be late ( 2 X )
Shine, little star, shine
Take me to Jesus
2.He was born, God's descended to the Eart
He was born to rescue me
he was born and won't leave me alone
Shine, little star, shine
Take me to Jesus
3. There are waiting Jesus and Maria
They're singing glory
It's glory, saint story.
Take me straight to Betlejem
Take me where the God was born
Take me I can't be late ( 2 X )
Colinde, colinde (Carols, carols)
Colinde, colinde,
E vremea colindelor,
Căci gheaţa se-ntinde
Asemeni oglinzilor.
Şi tremură brazii
Mişcând ramurele,
Căci noaptea de azi-i
Când scântee stelele.
Se bucur copiii,
Copiii şi fetele,
De dragul Mariei
Îşi piaptănă pletele...
De dragul Mariei
Şi al Mântuitorului
Luceşte pe ceruri
O stea călătorului.
The lyrics belong to our great poet Mihai Eminescu. I hope you like it.

"Rocking Around The Christmas Tree"
Visit "Sing Up" to listen to the song and to learn lyrics.
Many hugs and kisses, Reny
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop.
Mistletoe hung where you can see,
Ev’ry couple tries to stop.
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree,
Let the Christmas spirit ring.
Later we’ll have some pumpkin pie
And we’ll do some carolling.
You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear
Voices singing ‘let’s be jolly,
Deck the halls with boughs of holly!’
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree,
Have a happy holiday.
Ev’ryone dancing merrily
In the new old fashion’d way.
Veste-am adus! We brought good tidings to you!
As Reny asked me to give her the lyrics I tried to translate them in order to be sung. :) Good luck !
Here they are:

Yeni Yil şarkısı ( New Year song)
Best regards, Raif
A Turkish new year song.
I hope you liked the song.If you like it!...and here is the lyrics
English translation:
It's New Year, It's New Year
Hopes brighten
In the new year
Look, What I want
Friendship for the people
More trees for the earth
Reading many, many books
Peace for the world
Our fresh air shouldn't become dirty
Beautiful nature should be noticed
Wars should be finished
It should be peace in the world
It's New Year, It's New Year
Hopes brighten
In the New Year
Look, What I want
It's New Year, It's New Year
Hopes brighten
In the New Year
I want love
In the New Year
I want love
